WUMA World Cup Kickboxing Championships Saturday 15th October 2 Silver Medals
Elliot McDonald made his debut at this prestigous event showing off his skill and perseverance only miss a chance of
becoming World Champion by a split decision by the referees. Tom Everard, who is a bit of veteran on this tougher
circuit, gave blistering performance that the crowds are used to, only to loose in the final when it went to "sudden
death" when the judges could not decide who was the more worthy opponent. Well done to both students who train
very hard, attending several classes a week and a big thanks to their parents for the support and dedication given in
helping them acheive their goals - keep up the good work!
WUMA World Cup Kickboxing Championships Sunday 16th October a World Champion Kickboxer
Dave Paul Hannay entered the ring for his first full-contact fight since he joined us two years ago. Fighting in the
under 85kg category he was paired up against an opponent with a 6 fight history - a more than worthy first fight! Right
from the start Dave took control leaving his opponent buckling at the knees on several occasions with devastating
punch/kick combinations but resisted going for the " quick knockout" and went the distance to receive a unanamous
decision from the judges. Well Done to all three students!!!
